Janel Munao is obviously a talented musical artist. Her music is not only catchy, but has very deep meaning in the lyrics. The images that were put into the video were very creative. My favorite part was when the charcoal drawings came out of the walls and paper and came to life. Also, I really thought the photos of real people, Indians. and her dancing on the rock (maybe it was some kind of tribal dance) that it made a bigger impact on what her song was trying to put out. I would actually like to hear the song again to better understand the lyrics. Also, reading the lyrics can help as well.
Robert Adams is very aware of his surroundings. He looks at photography in a different way than I would, which makes me more intrigued by his findings. He stated that it is rare to take a photograph of the same scenery twice, especially water landscapes. The land that is submerged underwater when the ocean washes upon it always changes. I never really paid much attention to those changes. Actually, I don't really pay attention to a lot of changes that go through nature. He is very insightful on how light hits objects, and how light can't even hit the land because it is the land is underneath a big patch of smog. I liked how he took pictures of dead stumps. He didn't just choose any stump, he chose stumps that when you looked at it, it means something.
An-My Le is a very interesting artist. I like her style in using old cameras to take a certain kind of photograph. Also, I liked that she put her photograph in black and white or color for certain reasons. She wouldn't just put the picture in black and white to make it old, but to define the lines within the landscape. There was a picture that was originally in black and white and she put it in color to better show the horizontal lines. It also shows the gradation of the colors of green as well. I really liked the pictures of the reenactment of the Vietnam war. I think the shots she took were very well placed and she was very aware of the kind of landscape that was being taken in the photo.
